ChargeBee is focused on being a “plug-and-play billing solution.” Especially focused on subscription and recurring billing, aiming to make it easy to set up without building a custom system.

They seem aimed at startups and such based on their pricing page and the revenue numbers they use to determine pricing. Wouldn’t be a good choice for beginner or small creators.

Subscription Billing & Recurring Revenue Business FAQ - Chargebee

Offers four different pricing tiers. Honestly the transparency here could be a bit better, since while the Launch tier is $0 / month for the first 100k in revenue, revenue above 100k will automatically convert you to a $99 / month plan plus a 0.5% overage fee for more than $25k / month in revenue. Not great that you have to hover over text and view a tiny menu to see this.

Note that the percentage fees for each pricing tier only kick in once you’ve surpassed a certain amount of revenue:

Affiliate program set up is available with a third-party add on:

Upsells appear to be available as part of the “add-ons” functionality:

Google Pay is available via third party (so I’m not sure if that really counts as being part of ChargeBee)

Similar situation for Apple Pay, you must configure it via your payment gateway:

PayPal is sort of available, but again requires you to configure an external payment gateway outside of ChargeBee:
