Circle is primarily a community platform (also now a course platform), but its Paywalls feature will allow you to sell access to specific Spaces, Space Groups, or Courses directly through Circle. You can then deliver any kind of digital asset within those Spaces/Courses.

Paywalls integrate directly with your Stripe account (and that’s it - no PayPal.

I use Circle for to run the support community for my Notion templates, and will be using it for future courses. I’ve also tested the Paywalls feature, though only for an experimental membership that I’m no longer selling.

For templates, I currently use Gumroad (as of December 30, 2022 - I’ll be switching in response to their price increase). When people purchase a template, I send them an invite link to my Circle community. This allows them to get the template links and to get support.

You can also automatically add people to a Circle Space/Space Group through integrations. Gumroad has a direct one, and Circle has integrations with Zapier and Integrately. Interestingly, the Integrately integration is available on Circle’s Basic plan, whereas Zapier is restricted to the Pro plan and higher.
