Ghost bills itself as an app for creating a content-based business.
Unlike many of the other apps we’re exploring, Ghost is open source and user-funded (no investors).
The main difference between the different subscription tiers is the number of members and staff users. This is pretty cool since the price scales with your audience (and presumably revenue as well):

You can technically use Ghost to create courses, though it works best for ongoing memberships (think of sites like Skillshare or Masterclass). It doesn’t work well for one-off courses.
Can I use Ghost to sell paid courses?
Also, since Ghost is free and open source, you can self-host it on your server to have greater control over pricing and your production environment (though don’t automatically assume that self-hosting will be cheaper). All prices discussed here assume you’re using Ghost’s hosting.
