This database has a default template, which can be set with a daily Repeat setting so a new page is created automatically for you each day.

This setting is turned off in this template so it doesn’t spawn hundreds of pages over time. You can easily enable it in your copy once you’ve duplicated the template. See my reference on repeating database templates if you need instructions!

I consider this the “sweet spot” for Notion-based habit-tracking. You can add new habits as properties, and you don’t need to modify any formulas.

Downside: If you want to stop tracking a habit, you’ll need to hide or delete its property, which will hide/delete historical records.
