In general, Paddle is more of a hands-on platform that focuses on the developer experience. While it does offer no-code tools and will let non-coders sell quickly and easily, the focus is much more on developers who understand code and APIs.
For an option that’s easier for beginners and non-coders, Lemon Squeezy has the same pricing and also acts as Merchant of Record.
Paddle acts at the Merchant of Record. One common criticism on MoR sellers is that you’ll experience increased chargeback numbers because customers may not recognize the MoR name on their bank/credit card statement.
E.g. sales from Paddle would, by default, be listed as PADDLE on a bank statement.
