Whiteboard gets "erased" at the end of the day.
- So do we really need a database for daily planning?
- We could have one, but that could result in the global scratchpad becoming a mess.
- We could simplify to a Daily Dashboard. The content of which is stored in a global block
- If it's erased at the end of the day, we need an easy way to move tasks that didn't get done into long-term planning
- One way would be to have a linked version of Inbox inside of the Daily template. Perhaps hide it in a toggle so you don't have to see it all the time.
-
We could have a Daily Dashboard database. This would not be a mere whiteboard, but a place that imprints a record of the day on all other parts of the system.
- Our global scratchpad could be in it
- A Linked version of our Notes inbox, with a forcing function that creates a relation to the current day in the Daily Dashboard database. This could be used for a journal, or we could have a separate journal database
- Or the journal is simply written in the Daily Dashboard
- Could habit tracking be implemented here?
- Everything is linked to the DAY
- Whiteboard philosophy still applies. If it's not done by the end of the day, it should be moved to the longer-term system.
- The Task Inbox is EVERYWHERE. That way, you can process your inbox from anywhere. Add to projects, add dates, etc. Then click unbox.
-
I want to be able to brain-dump a task list. That means checkboxes, not the Inbox database. I can drag into the database later if I want.
-
So Daily Dashboard has:
-
Single System (single user)
- Master Dashboard
- Today's Daily Dashboard shows
- Daily Dashboards
- Task views
- Note-taking system
- How can I keep a status dashboard?
- Projects
- How many databases?
- Tasks
- Notes
- Projects
- Habits
- Days
- Content (specialized project database with many unique properties)
- Contacts (Sponsors could go here, though Relations can't be filtered, so you'd have to rely on search)
-
Imbue with a consistent imagery that evokes feeling - story, maybe
- Like the idea of going into the Vaults - Sherlock

Can I embed a block... with an embedded block in it?
